They are currently accepting applications for a Mine Surveyor at North Goonyella Coal (NGC) Mine. North Goonyella Coal Mine is an underground longwall mine located 160 kilometers west of Mackay producing a premium quality, high strength coking coal for export markets.

About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor , this position will be responsible for providing accurate survey, technical and operational information and plans to assist in meeting production targets and statutory obligations.
This role is offered on an 8:6 roster and can allow for residential, DIDO or FIFO (salary sacrificed flights) lifestyle options .
Responsibilities in this position include:
Providing accurate survey controls, support and data in accordance with statutory and company standards Providing the necessary information for the preparation of statutory mine plans and end of month reporting Maintain survey standards in field and office environment Conform to all required practices and standards to maintain eligibility for underground work Take an active role in the daily running of the Survey Office (e.g. Equipment maintenance, weekly reports etc.)
Responsible for surface survey work, including subsidence, bore hole set outs and monitoring surveys Managing and prioritizing all requests for survey work/information from various stakeholders Responsible for maintaining the survey data base
About You:
At least 3 years proven experience in a similar role in an underground mining operation Degree qualifications in surveying or a related discipline Registered Surveyor qualification or be in the final stages of becoming a registered surveyor Strong knowledge of surveying principles and coal mine legislation requirements Proficient in Leica Total Stations, Trimble GPS, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Demonstrated commitment to safety
