Underground Drillers Fitter Coal Mining Maintenance QLD

The Australian Drilling Systems (ADS) Group manufactures and operates specialized underground directional drilling equipment.  They offer complete drilling and secondary support solutions that have their equipment and personnel engaged at many leading mine sites both in Australia and around the world.

The role

NSW and QLD based roles.  You will be responsible for the safe and effective operation and/or  maintenance  of  our ADS underground directional drill rigs and air tracks as a Driller, Fitter or Offsider. Assist to maintain/set up rigs and conduct directional drilling activities. You will also be required to operate ancillary underground mobile equipment and gas drainage systems.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 12 months COAL experience working in an underground  environment.
  • Previous work alone permits.
  • Drillers – DGS experience and a proven track record in UIS directional drilling (essential).
  • Fitters- Drill fitting experience
  • Relevant trade qualifications
  • DES  diesel certification and formal hydraulics training
  • LHD, SMV tickets and maintenance experience
  • C Class Driver’s license. (Minimum)
  • An outcome focused, passionate and professional attitude towards the role and others.
  • Demonstrated ability adhering to safety policies and procedures in an underground coal environment.
  • Commitment to meet all ADS and client WHS responsibilities including all policy and procedures.
  • Ability to pass a full coal board medical and functional assessment.
