Tyre Fitter job Mackay & Coalfields

This job requires all applicants to have a valid Standard 11 Induction Training mining induction; which will increase your chance of getting through to the next round.

We continue to drive and support a strong focus on WHS along with zero tolerance to drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Marathon Tyres are seeking site-based and relief Tyre Fitters to fit and service tyres on a mine located near Blackwater. The successful candidates will be required to work 12-hour days on a 7 on 7 off day shift only roster. Marathon Tyres are searching for safety conscious people with previous mine site experience who can expect to be trained and assessed to industry best practice.

Requirements:

  • Earthmover tyre fitting experience on mine sites
  • Certificate II or RII in Tyre Fitting Heavy
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • High Risk Work Licence
  • Current Coal Board Medical (preferred)
  • Current Standard 11 Induction Training (preferred)
  • Possess a high level of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and a drug and alcohol screen

Expert Mining Resume Guide

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)

Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.

RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
