Technical Services Manager Mine Production Bowen Basin
A mining organization requires a Technical Services Manager to drive production FIFO Brisbane / Residential.
An internationally renowned mining organization that focuses on the development and extraction of coal is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to drive production on their leading open cut operation in the Bowen Basin.
Your new role
Reporting into the Project Manager you will oversee the mine planning function whilst ensuring production targets are achieved. To do this you will lead the technical services team to develop accurate and strategic medium and long term plans and schedules, whilst constantly searching for opportunities to increase production efficiencies. With your comprehensive understanding of open cut mining, you will also be responsible for the preparation of the Mining Budget including physicals and operating costs.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful you will be a qualified Mining Engineer with extensive experience in open cut coal operations. As this is a leadership role, you will have proven management experience in mentoring and driving a team of technical professionals.

The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.
The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.
