Storeperson Dugald River Mine site regional Queensland

Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, you will be required to control the ordering and receiving materials on site. Positions offered are FIFO ex- Townsville, Cairns or Brisbane on a 2/1 roster. DIDO from Cloncurry or Mt Isa will also be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Loading, unloading and receipting inbound and outbound trucks
  • Preparing goods for transport
  • Ordering and monitoring of all Diesel fuel on site
  • Unloading and unpacking of explosives from ANFO truck
  • Maintaining documentation, manifests and stock registers
  • Efficient distribution of store items as required
  • Maintaining order and good housekeeping in store and laydown area

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years in a similar mining stores role
  • Computer literate with experience using SAP
  • Magazine keeping experience
  • RII Store, Transport and Handling competency required or the ability to obtain
  • Fork lift ticket and loading / unloading experience
  • HR license (current)
  • Previous experience within an underground environment would be beneficial
  • Ability to deal with staff on all levels is imperative.

Applicants must be able to provide a valid National Police Clearance issued within the last 6 months. For applicants who progress, the Barminco recruitment process will require you to attend an interview, have references checked and attend a pre-employment medical and functional assessment.

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)

Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.

RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
