Due to increased build activity and growth Liebherr Mackay are currently seeking 4 experienced and motivated Site Fitters to be based on a 7 on 7 off rotating day / night shift roster at Saraji Mine Site.

These roles are an exciting opportunity for the ongoing maintenance of a number of T264 Electric Drive Trucks, a PR776 dozer and R996B Liebherr Excavator, They are looking to appoint responsible and proactive employees who are capable of working independently in the field.

The Role:

  • Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical diagnosis and repairing of faults on all site machines
  • Carry out all required major and minor services to site machines as directed
  • Carry out maintenance and component replacements in all areas relative to site responsibilities
  • Accurate completion of documentation including time sheets, maintenance requests and any site specific documentation required

About You:

  • Are Trade Qualified
  • Have experience with heavy machinery, specifically Liebherr Electric Drive Trucks
  • Demonstrated diagnostics and fault finding knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop relationships, build trust and expertise
  • Motivated, hands on and eager to leverage with Liebherr brand and lead the way as best in class
  • A current drivers license is essential
  • Commitment to maintain, and adhere to safety guidelines in the workplace

It's a turbocharged air-to-air aftercooled diesel engine that has enhanced power management capability for maximum hauling performance. The C175-16 is a 16-cylinder, four-stroke design that uses long, effective power strokes for optimum efficiency.

The 793F, is an autonomous-driven truck. Over 100 793F trucks are now operating via Command for hauling, the Cat autonomous truck operations system, which is a part of Cat MineStar™

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)

Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.

RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
