Shotfirer – Curragh Mine Blackwater QLD

Dyno Nobel is the market leader in North America – the largest explosives market in the world – and the second largest supplier in Australia – the third largest explosives market in the world.Due to recent successes at Dyno Nobel they are searching for Shotfirers to join there team at the Wesfarmers Curragh mine based in Blackwater.
The Shotfirer is responsible for the safe and efficient implementation of blasting practices to achieve project production targets. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilize your experience in industry and perform on one of their full-service key customers sites.
To ensure success in your application, candidates must have current:
- At least 2 years operational Shotfiring experience (coal mining)
- Standard 11 Induction Training
- QLD Shotfirer ticket
- Dangerous Goods License
- Coal Board Medical
- Qld SSAN Security Clearance
- Heavy Rigid License (desirable)
All candidates must be comfortable working night shifts as well as committing to a fixed term arrangement (with the potential to continue to permanent). The roster at this site is 7/7 and all positions are DIDO.
You will have the ability to work autonomously and assist the site in complying with and improving systems, ensuring a smooth and effortless process. You will be a committed team player with a strong emphasis on safety, customer service and achieving results.
