Senior Mine Geologist Open Pit Gold Mining
Dacian Gold Ltd (ASX:DCN) is finalizing constructing of its 100% owned Mt Morgans Gold Project located near Laverton in the WA goldfields.
Mt Morgans will be Australia’s newest +200,000 oz gold mine, and in Q1 CY2018 will produce its first gold from a newly constructed 2.5Mtpa CIL treatment plant.
The maiden Ore Reserve of 1.2 million ounces, supporting an initial mine life of 8 years, will produce underground ore from Westralia and open pit ore from Jupiter.

About The Role
Dacian Gold is seeking to employ an experienced Senior Mine Geologist – Open Pit to provide geological leadership in the development and operations of the new open pit within the Syenite hosted Jupiter deposit.
The Senior Mine Geologist will be responsible for daily mine geology management, grade control, direction of ore drives, planning and supervision of drill programs, geological interpretation, resource estimation and providing mentoring and leadership to a small team of mine geologists and geology technicians.
Reporting to the Chief Mine Geologist, the role is critical to the success of the Project.
The Person
Dacian Gold seeks to appoint an experienced Geologist who has;
- A proven professional and employment history in geological excellence;
- A history of mentoring and leadership within a small team;
- Experience in Archaean gold; and
- Open pit geology experience within a mining environment.
Candidate with the following experience will be highly regarded:
- experience setting up new systems, procedures and processes;
- experience with 3D modelling software and development of geological models.
