Senior Diesel Mechanic – Mining industry
Senior Diesel Mechanic Mining industry Broken Hill NSW
The client is a large scale business in Broken Hill, servicing large trucks for the mining industry. Due to massive expansion they are seeking a new Senior Diesel Mechanic to work in the workshop and attend call-outs including the local mines. This business is well established and provides a variety of opportunities to work on large trucks such as Frieghtliners, Volvo and Mercedes.
The role:
Will be to head up the workshop in the region, mentoring apprentices and working alongside experienced Diesel Mechanics. Work shop facilities are good providing state of the art equipment and diagnostic computerised systems.
Initially, you will undergo training with senior management, assisting you to settle in to your new regional position, then you will be in a supervisory role as well as functioning as a hands on mechanic.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be searching to move to a regional city and explore the unique social offerings available in the region.
- Possess Trade Qualifications as a Diesel Mechanic
- Have the ability to function independently and mentor junior staff on above types of vehicles
- Enjoy working overtime and doing call-outs to client sites.

The Pay
You will be offered a competitive base salary plus superannuation with lots of overtime and call outs to earn in excess of $100k pa. Initially, you will be provided with accommodation close to head office for training and the assistance of local staff in settling you in. Tools will be transported for you within Australia.
To be successful in this role you will either be legally able to work in Australia or hold New Zealand citizenship.

- High school or equivalent
Required experience:
- Large Truck: 4 years
- Diesel Mechanic: 4 years
- HR Licence
