Seamgas Supervisor – Moranbah North Mine
Be part of this established department accountable for the management of surface gas drainage activities across the Moranbah North Mine. Reporting to the Seamgas Superintendent you will advise on and address Gas Drainage issues to provide safe underground working environments. You will have accountability for approvals, monitoring and reporting as per the Moranbah North Gas Drainage Management Plan.
As the on-shift front line leader, you will ensure the Seamgas work execution teams fully comply with site safety systems and procedures. This role is responsible for effective management of seam gas personnel, ensuring that teams have the skills, experience, requisite knowledge and understanding to complete all required work. You will set clear performance expectations and regularly review the team’s performance to build a high performance culture.
You will work closely with the Seamgas Planner to own and execute short and medium term plans, providing quality input to ensure tasks are well planned, adequately resourced and implemented in full compliance with safety and statutory requirements. You will consistently deliver performance targets and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
The successful candidate, will ideally hold qualifications in a maintenance management or trade related discipline with a strong understanding of work management practices. They will have considerable experience in seamgas maintenance and operations, and exposure to underground coal degasification. A demonstrated team leader, the Seamgas Supervisor will be a champion of safety and a driver of results.
This role is being offered on an 8 on/ 6 off roster.
