Road Construction Crew – Dalby (Roller Operator / Truck Driver) – $30.16/hr +

Position Description: Employed through Labour Hire as a crew member, you will be based out of the Dalby depot (no public transport). Commencing usually around 5am, you generally head of to your assigned jobs in the company crew truck.

This could be either local or away work. If away work, you could be away for up to a week at a time, accommodated in hotel/motel rooms in shared accommodation (‘$’ allowance paid). Once onsite, your role will be to help prepare road surfaces for spraying. Once sprayed, you will either be operating a multi-wheel roller or sweeping stones with a hand broom.

Established for over 30 years, there client now employs over 100 staff and operate a fleet of over 100 machines. They’re located in various locations across Queensland and northern NSW. In essence, they are a leading company within the asphalt industry.

This position may only last for 1 to 2 months, as they can’t spray when the road temp goes below 20c. So it would better suit someone who is unemployed or between jobs. Ideally they are searching for Civil experience Roller Operators with truck licenses, but knowing the duration of the job, it’s not always possible to get exactly what I’m searching for. So therefore they are happy to take someone who lives in the Dalby area and wants the opportunity to gain experience in the Civil Industry.

You must however be able to pass a D&A, be fit and healthy and be able to work away from home. This position is paying $30.16 p/h with overtime and LAFHA.
