Riggers/Crane Operator Jobs QLD
Goonyella, Peak Downs, South Walker Creek and Blackwater
PGC Resources are currently searching to recruit experienced Crane operators, Franna Operators and Riggers for Shutdowns at various BMA Sites – Goonyella, Peak Downs, South Walker Creek and Blackwater.
To be successful you must hold the following qualifications:
Riggers:
- Coal Board Medical (current – Section 4)
- Standard 11 Induction Training – (current)
- BMA Core Induction
- High Risk Work Licence – RB, RI, RA
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- C Class license required – HR, HC or MC license desirable
- Minimum 2 years experience rigging in either the resources or crane hire industry
- Excellent attitude to safety
- Flexible attitude to work with all crew required to help onsite with tasks that are outside of normal rigging duties
Crane Operators – Franna and Crawler Ops
- Coal Board Medical (current – Section 4)
- Standard 11 Induction Training – (current)
- BMA Core Induction
- CN with CO ticket preferred
- HR License with HC or MC preferred
- 2 years experience operating Frannas (CN) or Crawler Cranes (CO)
- Excellent attitude to safety
- Flexible attitude to work with all Crane Ops required at times to assist with other duties such as rigging, driving trucks or helping other contractor groups with tasks outside of crane operating

About the Bowen Basin mining region, Queensland.
The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.
The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.
The Bowen Basin covers a total area of over 60,000 square kilometres and is located in Central Queensland; running from Collinsville to Theodore. The entire region is home to many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.
