Get Skilled For Mining and Gas Industries

If you’re serious about getting a job in the mining and resources sector, your other options include a Work Ready Program offered by providers other than Skilling Solutions Queensland. The Work ready Program is designed and presented by experienced mining shift supervisors.

Regarded by some as an excellent place to start, you`ll learn about underground mining over 3 days. On completion, any potential mining recruiter, or mining company can feel comfortable knowing you have the skills to seamlessly fit into their mining operation.

With no added cost, students who successfully complete the mine ready program and are deemed work-ready, enter a placement database for 180 days, which is set up as a feeder to major mining companies in WA and QLD.

Learn Mining Risk Management Practices

A popular avenue into mining is to complete the Standard 11 Induction, which provides skills most, if not all, mining companies like to see on resumes. The 3 day course provides risk management skills that are a must when working at a mine site. No matter the company, all miners and applicants are expected to be well versed with Mining Job Safety Analysis practices, which the Standard 11 Induction teaches.

Currently offered Friday to Sunday, the Standard 11 Induction is available in several locations throughout the country and is offered by Industry Pathways, a registered training organisation specialising in mine-ready training courses, machinery tickets and dump truck training.
