Quarry Mining Site Maintenance and Fitter Jobs
QPS Engineering is an established quarry and site maintenance support company who provide experienced and fully resourced personnel to quarry and manufacturing organizations and have done so since 2006. We cover Brisbane, Darling Downs, Gold Coast, inner Brisbane and the Wide Bay areas of Queensland.
They require a proactive maintenance fitter to join the team. To be successful in this role it would be beneficial but not essential that you have experience in the repair and maintenance of crushing plant and equipment in a quarry environment and be able to carry out fabrication and welding jobs unsupervised. Applicants with crusher and plant experience of any type will be very highly regarded.

Both positions will require the ability to maintain a working environment with a high level of safety and housekeeping. Own basic tools and a flexible approach to weekend work and “going the extra mile” is essential as our business is based on customer satisfaction and our drive to ensure customers sites enjoy maximum availability.
Willingness to travel can be a bonus, as our work site locations cover a wide area around Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. Their workshop and offices are based in Narangba which is where all off site fabrication takes place but not necessarily where your job site would be. Many of employees are based on a quarry site which may be strategically close to their home.
A positive attitude, energetic and outgoing personality will go a long way towards your success.
Qualifications and Licenses;
The following licenses and training would be an advantage though not absolutely essential. High consideration will be made for those applicants which have the majority of these qualifications in place and are also working towards obtaining the rest.

Immediate start is available for the right applicant. Both day and night shift available on north and south of Brisbane as service sites in all areas not just based out of workshop .
Please note this is not a mine site position and working away etc is not the norm for us. QPS Engineering is a Metropolitan based business and hourly rates will therefore be reflected.

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)
Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.
RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
