Qualified Hydraulic Technician / Fitter
A Small Family Business located in Gympie, Queensland looking for a fully qualified Hydraulic Technician/fitter with minimum 3 years experience in hydraulic systems for an immediate start. With skills ranging from machinery, trawlers, heavy vehicles, earth moving and factory preferred.
Requirements of The Qualified Hydraulic Technician / Fitter
- Minimum 3 years experience in hydraulic systems
- Current drivers license – current car license minimum
- Welding and braising with mig, oxy/acetylene and arc
- Basic electrical understanding of 12v/24v/240v and 3 phase – Machining fitting and turning experience
- Basic Computer skills – Time organization – Must be friendly and open minded with excellent communication skills – Hard working and ethical
- Must be willing to stay for long term after a probation period
The Qualified Hydraulic Technician / Fitter role includes
System diagnosis and testing and design – Customer service – Quoting and sales – Able to work unsupervised as a integral member of a small team – Stock ordering/control, liaising with suppliers and customers – Invoicing of job cards – Job organizing, day to day planning – Assembly of hoses, repair of cylinders – Training of apprentices – Available for on call and over-time – Basic understanding of pneumatic systems welcome – Willing to work on a wide variety of systems
The company is a small family owned business, local to Gympie for over 30 years that has grown with the town. They have a staff of 8 full-time employees including 4 workshop team members.
The service from the Sunshine Coast to Hervey Bay, Tin Can Bay to Kingaroy. Further if required. Open 5 days a week with occasional after hours callouts- it’s expected in their field of expertise. There workshop opens at 7.00am and closes at 5.00pm with a roster of 1 in 4 weeks starting at 7.00am-3.30pm.

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)
Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.
RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
