Qualified 4x Diesel Fitter-HD Fitter Mining
CoreStaff are currently seeking experienced and suitably qualified HD Fitters with strong experience on large diesel mining mobile plant for long term roles starting in October 2017 on mine sites in the Pilbara.
These roles will be offered on a 2&1 FIFO roster ex: Perth only.
Successful applicants MUST have:
- Extensive experience in maintaining large earthmoving equipment including :
- Autonomous Cat 793F (highly regarded)
- Cat 789 / 785
- Excavators, Dozers, Drills & Loaders
- Proven experience working within a Mining Production environment.
- An Australian recognized HD trade certificate
- Working at Heights ticket
- Valid Australian drivers licence
- Ability to pass a Medical and Drug & Alcohol screen

Caterpillar Haul truck 785
The Caterpillar 785 Haul Truck, Dump Truck or off-road truck as they are called in the U.S. are still used across the world in open-cut mining operations. This huge truck has proven it’s worth for many years and has often been the entry-level truck for new operators.
Progressing when competent, operators move up to the larger CAT 793 and CAT 797 truck, giving them the confidence and ability to handle larger load capacities on a range of challenging mine sites.

Caterpillar Haul truck 793
The 793F has a load cpacityof 226.8 ton (US) and a top speed of 60 kilometres an hour. It's a turbocharged air-to-air aftercooled diesel engine that has enhanced power management capability for maximum hauling performance. The C175-16 is a 16-cylinder, four-stroke design that uses long, effective power strokes for optimum efficiency.

Caterpillar Haul truck 789
The Caterpillar 789 dump truck is typically used in open pit mining. The 789 has a capacity of 177 tonnes, and its engine can produce 1770 horsepower.
There are hundreds of CAT 789 dump trucks on various mine sites in Australia; working hard in open-cut coal mines as well as hauling raw iron ore dirt across the open, dusty mine sites of Western Australia.
