Pre-Strip Operator – Coal Mining Jobs

• $43.20 – $46.26 p/h + Super paid on all hrs worked
• 6/6 Roster
• All meals and accommodation provided

Experienced pre-strip operators are required for positions within the Bowen Basin on a 6/6 roster.

The client is Australia’s largest coal producer and exporter with several mine sites located across the Bowen Basin in Queensland. The client currently has several vacancies available for experienced pre-strip operators to work on 6/6 rosters.

To be a suitable applicant for this position you will require:

• Coal Board Medical
• Standard 11 Induction Training
• Drivers License
• Must have – CAT 789+ truck ticket

Desired skills:

• Dozer D10+
• Grader CAT 16+
• Excavator – Hitachi, CAT or Liebherr

About the Bowen Basin mining region, Queensland.

The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.

The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.
