Programmed Industrial Maintenance delivers integrated maintenance, fabrication and construction services to blue chip customers from branches in key commercial, industrial and mining centers in New South Wales and Queensland. There Hunter based business employs around 200 skilled trades, professional and support services people.

They are currently seeking PERMANENT trade qualified Fitters for ongoing maintenance shutdown work to join there team in the Singleton / Muswellbrook Areas. These positions are in the Muswellbrook / Singleton area therefore successful applicants must be local or be willing to relocate to the area.

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following:

  • Certificate of Proficiency or Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical
  • Previous mining and/or shutdown experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety

Highly desired but not essential criteria:

  • Hunter Valley Mine Site Inductions
  • Nationally accredited Working Safely at Heights qualification (dated within 3 years)
  • Nationally accredited Confined Space qualification (dated within 2 years)
  • High Risk Work License (Elevated Work Platform, Forklift)

  • DIDO only – local to Muswellbrook / Singleton

  • Day, afternoon & night shifts available subject to site requirements

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)

Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.

RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
