Multiple Positions – New Solar Project FIFO QLD
Haynes Group are currently seeking experienced, highly motivated and qualified professionals for the below positions. You will have the opportunity to work for esteemed client and, thus, become an integral part of an upcoming Solar Project. These opportunities will provide excellent work/life balance while working in the Bowen Basin.
The Roles: Commissioning Manager
- Must have a Bachelor or Electrical Engineering
- At least 5-10 years engineering management experience
- Working knowledge of contracts and procurement
QA/QC Inspector
- Tertiary qualified in Engineering desirable
- Must have Auditor Qualifications or relevant experience
- At least 10 years’ experience in similar projects in Construction
Project Engineer – Mechanical/Civil
- Must have an Engineering Degree (Civil/Mechanical/Structural)
- RPEQ/NPER or qualified
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the solar industry
Project Engineer – Electrical
- Must have an Engineering Degree (Electrical)
- RPEQ/NPER or qualified
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the solar industry
Electrical Superintendents x 2
- Queensland Electrical License (essential)
- Engineering or Construction Management Degree (preferred)
- RPEQ Certification (an advantage)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the solar industry
Site Stores Supervisor
- Related discipline or trade (Essential)
- Must have 5-10 years’ experience in large projects in the resources sector and 5 years’ in a supervisory role
- Forklift ticket and Rigger or related qualification essential

The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.
The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.
The Bowen Basin covers a total area of over 60,000 square kilometres and is located in Central Queensland; running from Collinsville to Theodore. The entire region is home to many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.
