Multi-Skilled Production Operator

Multi-skilled Operators primarily operate a range of production coal mining equipment, including dozers, loaders and excavators. The position will require the successful applicant to work a rotating day and night roster, on a quasi 6 days on 4 days off basis.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Applicable RII Competencies to operate a:
    • PC4000 Komatsu excavator,
    • 475 Komatsu carry dozer, and
    • WA900 Komatsu loader.
  • Current Queensland Driver’s license.
  • Current Standard 11 Induction Training Mine Induction (Surface) or equivalent.

Advantageous

  • Applicable RII Competencies to operate a:
    • CAT 24M or 16M grader, or
    • HD1500 Komatsu rear end dump truck.

  • High attention to detail
  • Effective decision making skills

Experience/Knowledge

To be considered, applicants must have:

  • Extensive experience in the operation of plant and machinery within a mining environment.
  • Thorough understanding of individual responsibilities in relation to the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and associated regulations.
