Multi-skilled Operators – Coal Mining Jobs

Extrastaff Mackay are currently seeking Multi-Skilled Operators for full time long term roles in Moranbah. Client has recently had their long-term contract renewed and needs to increase the size of their team.

Multi Skilled Heavy Coal Mining Operators DIDO Mackay-iMINCO.net Mining Information

Looking in particular, for the following skills, licenses and experience:

  • Current Standard 11 Induction Training and Coal Board Medical (or ability to obtain)
  • Previous experience on a mine site
  • Experience operating Komatsu and CAT dozers and loaders
  • RII for dozer
  • RII for loader
  • RII for grader
  • RII for excavator
  • RII for skid steer
  • RII for moxy or water truck
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot
  • Experience working on coal stockpiles and wash-plants (desired but not essential).

These roles will be DIDO (drive in/drive out) so you will need to have access to your own transport. Food and accommodation will be provided when on roster.  The roster for this role will be 4/5/5/4 with rotating day and night shifts.

The hourly pay rate is $40.83 flat per hour with and additional $7.17 per hour accrued for personal and annual leave. Accruals are then paid back when you transition to the client or choose to leave the position.

Please note that Moranbah North Mine has a non facial hair policy and that the selection process for this role requires a drug and alcohol screen to be completed.

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)

Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.

RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
