Multi Drillers & Offsiders, Boilmaker / Welder,Fitter

Multi Drillers & Offsiders, Boilmaker / Welder,Fitter – Cobar NSW. The successful applicant, should be a minimum Certificate III trade qualified as a diesel fitter or heavy duty plant mechanic. Minimum 2 years out of trade

  • With a sound Knowledge of (but not limited to):
  • Land based drill rigs Diamond and RC rigs (UDR-1200, 1000,650 – MCCULLOGH, HANJIN, DE840 and DE820)
  • Support equipment trucks (MERC BENZ – MAN-ISUZU TRUCKS)
  • Compressed Air Systems (SULLAIR, ATLAS COPCO,CAT)
  • Boosted air systems
  • Light Vehicle fleet
  • Associated ancillary drilling equipment (lighting plants, forklifts, trailers etc)

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Good time management skills and an ability to self-mange, and be able to work unsupervised in a team environment
  • Proven ability to trouble shoot and repair, diesel engines, hydraulic systems, high pressure air systems.
  • Experience in working in remote locations
  • Be able to work away for extended periods of time
  • Proven ability to follow maintenance management protocols and systems
  • HR LICENCE ESSENTIAL

BOILERMAKER/WELDER

  • Boilermaker or Welder Qualification
  • Great experience in fabrication
  • Experience in reading and interpreting drawings
  • Ability in marking out and making jigs
  • High work ethic
  • Be able to work away for extended periods of time
  • HR LICENCE DESIRABLE

EXPERIENCED MULTI DRILLERS/DIAMOND OR RC REQUIRED

  • Must be experienced
  • Certificate IV Drilling (Desirable)
  • Certificate III Drilling (Essential)
  • Certificate 3 -Metalliferous Mining Operations (Highly Desirable)
  • HR License – Unrestricted (Essential)
  • Mechanically minded (Advantage)
  • Current Senior First Aid/CPR Certificate (Desirable)

Candidates must have experience with the following:

  • Have experience working in Outdoor Remote Areas in Extreme Weather Conditions.
  • Have the ability to cope with Heavy Manual Handling work.
  • Are able to work 12 hour Day/Night Shifts. 14/7 Roster.
  • Able to work away for extended periods of time.
  • Are Hardworking, honest, reliable and able to work as part of a Team.
  • Have a commitment to Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental Issues.

There is an immediate start available for the right person. Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol Screen/Pre-Employment Medical

DRILLERS OFFSIDERS

  • Previous Offsiders experience would be an advantage
  • HR LICENCE ESSENTIAL
  • Certificate II Drilling (Desirable)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Desirable)
  • Sound Apptitude
