Chandler Macleod is presenting a PERMANENT opportunity for Mobile Maintenance Mechanics. This is a RESIDENTIAL role based at the Worsley Alumina site with South32 working 40 hours a week on a 9 day fortnight roster.
Mobile Maintenance Technician Mining Role WA
Duties will include, but not be limited to
Reporting to the workshop supervisor, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repair and rebuilds on a range of light & heavy vehicles. As such, it is vital that you have experience working on a wide range of equipment.
Works will be performed on the following: (essential experience)
- All types of commercial light vehicles – hilux/ ranger/tritons etc
- Forklifts – predominantly 2T to 8T Linde
- Variety of Bobcats
- EWPs from 40ft to 135ft
- CAT Loaders and Dozers
- Trucks Stationary equipment such as generators and lighting plants
Essential Knowledge, Skills, experience and Qualifications:
- Mechanical Trade Qualification – Automotive/Mechanical /Diesel Fitter or associated trade with a minimum of 5 years post-apprenticeship experience
- Multi skill essential in an area of hydraulics, pneumatic, 24V auto-electrical
- Experience in fault finding and diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance services
- Basic computer skills
- C Class or HR Drivers license
- Commitment to a safe and efficient workplace
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screen
