Mining workers wanted as Dugald River nears production phase

Starting at the end of March, MMG will be recruiting mining workers for their new Dugald River zinc mine as their construction phase peaks and the production phase begins.�

At the end of 2016 the $US60 million project in Cloncurry, Queensland, was 45 percent complete and remains on target for a 2018 production start.

Recruitment will first look for�operational mining workers including�plant operators, maintenance workers and other support staff.

In the next new months they expect the workforce will peak at 500, with�approximately�170,000 tonnes of zinc in zinc concentrate to be produced per annum.

Recruitment for operational positions will start in the second quarter of this year and will be advertised on the�MMG website as well as through newspapers and employment sites.
