Previous mining experience is not required for these roles, if you’re trade qualified and have always wanted a foot in the door – this is your chance!

Work will be 100% mine site based, carrying out general maintenance, repair and shutdown work in various lead and copper areas of the mine. You must be willing to work in lead environments, be clean shaven every day and wear a respirator for your shift.

To apply you MUST have:

  • Relevant Fitting trade qualification
  • Confined Space and Working at Heights, both completed within the last 2 years
  • Be physically fit & capable of working in extreme heat conditions and lead stream environments
  • Be reliable, proactive and hard working

You must be willing to obtain all mine site requirements,

  • Pre Employment Medical No mining experience required
  • Big hours, ASAP start
  • Local Mt Isa

You must be willing to obtain all mine site requirements, please note you are not paid for time spent in these courses:

  • Pre Employment Medical ($580)
  • Drug Alcohol & Blood Lead ($135)
  • Fire & First Aid ($175)
  • Manual Handling ($160)
  • Glencore Induction (no cost)

All shifts are 12 hours, pay rate is $40/hr flat rate, both day and night shift may be required. For those seeking ongoing work, roster would be 4-6 shifts per week (50-80 hours).
