Mining Trades & Trades Assistants
CHAMP Resources are a dynamic Workforce Management Company whom specialize in manufacturing and mining. The client is a market leading supplier broadening there work scope within the Bowen Basin Region.
Currently seeking mechanically minded Fitters, Boilermakers & Trades Assistants for ongoing shutdown work within the Bowen Basin. Accommodation and meals provided whilst onsite. The successful candidates are preferred to have experience working on washed plants, conveyors, stacker reclaimers, and crusher/screens.
To be considered for this role, they are searching for candidates that can demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Mechanical aptitude and experience
- Experience working within a Washplant (highly regarded)
- Standard 11 Induction Training
- Confined Space
- Coal Board Medical
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Commitment to safe operating procedures
- Drivers License and reliable transport
- Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol screening
- Available for immediate commencement

The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.
The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.
