Who you’ll be working for
Our client is Australias largest coal miner and exporter, the world’s largest supplier to the sea borne coking coal market and largest coal producer and supplier of metallurgical coal. The client has several mine sites across the Bowen Basin consisting primarily of open cut mines.

About the Role
WorkPac is currently seeking experienced Operators to commence at a mine located near Moranbah. FIFO Brisbane or DIDO must live within 500km from Moranbah.

Skills & Experience
To be a suitable applicant for this position you will require:
Coal Board Medical
Standard 11 *Standard 11 Training*
Drivers Licence
Experience operating on or more of the following:
Haul Trucks – CAT 785, 789, 793, 797 (must be willing and able to drive a truck as required)
Excavators Hitachi 5500 and 5600
Small Excavator – Coal clean up
Dozer – D10/D11 Managing dumps and/or dozer push
Grader – 16/24M haul road maintenance
Minimum 12 months experience on a coal mine

The Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.

The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen. The Bowen Basin covers an area of over 60,000 square kilometres in Central Queensland running from Collinsville to Theodore and is dotted with many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.
