Major mining and gas industry employers will be on hand to provide job seekers with information on:

- The range of jobs and careers available in the resources sector.
- Industry pay, conditions and lifestyle

Mining expo locations for 2012
Due to the strong response received from the first round of Mining and Gas Jobs Expos, a second series of jobs expos have been announced for South East Queensland in the following locations in early February 2012:

This event will be free to attend. The Expos will run from 10am-4pm.
If you are a new starter the Mining Work Ready Program has been very successful.

The Expo being run by the QLD Government is being held at the Cairns Convention Centre on Wednesday, 2nd November.

i have worked in yhe mining industry for many years underground and open cutt both overseas and australia.i have owned my own steel fabricating buisness for the last few years ihave been trying to get back into mining for 9 months without luck yet they say there is a shortage of skilled workers i can’t understand it
