Mining Jobs Expo Dates

Mining Expos slated for Queensland are being touted as a chance for area workers` to find their way into mining.

Attend one of the five Mining Expos planned for regional Queensland during  October and November.

Who will be at the Expos?

Major mining and gas industry employers will be on hand to provide job seekers with information on:

  • Current and upcoming  job opportunities
  • The range of jobs and careers available in the resources sector.
  • Industry pay, conditions and lifestyle
  • Future job opportunities

Mining expo locations for 2012

Due to the strong response received from the first round of Mining and Gas Jobs Expos, a second series of jobs expos have been announced for South East Queensland in the following locations in early February 2012:

Logan 1 February Logan Ent Centre, 170 Wembley Road, Logan Central
Ipswich 3 February Workshops Rail Museum, North Street, North Ipswich
Toowoomba 7 February Toowoomba Showgrounds, Glenvale Road, Toowoomba
Brisbane 10 February Boondall Ent Centre, Melaleuca Drive, Boondall

 

This event will be free to attend. The Expos will run from 10am-4pm.

If you are a new starter the Mining Work Ready Program has been very successful.

    have found too expos in cairns is it at sebel hotel or civic theatre on 17

      The Expo being run by the QLD Government is being held at the Cairns Convention Centre on Wednesday, 2nd November.

      The expo is a QLD initaitive, we will be doing information nights in NSW later on in the year. You can keep up to dates with those ones via our project news.

    i have worked in yhe mining industry for many years underground and open cutt both overseas and australia.i have owned my own steel fabricating buisness for the last few years ihave been trying to get back into mining for 9 months without luck yet they say there is a shortage of skilled workers i can’t understand it

      With your experience it shouldnt take too long to get back in to the mining industry. Click on the recruitment tab at the top of the website and leave your details so we can notify you if we hear of a suitable position.
