POSITION SUMMARY:

The GO2 People are currently searching to employ an experienced Water Cart operator. The successful candidate will hold relevant RII for a 777 machine and have proven minimum of 2 years recent operational experience on a coal mine.

Full time employment may be available to the successful applicant who satisfactorily completes the probationary period and achieves the expectations of the position.

The role will see you working 12 hours per day on 3 day/2 night – 5 days off roster commencing on a Monday. Accommodation and meals will be provided.

The Successful Candidate MUST possess the following;

• Relevant RII for the 777 Watercart as listed above
• Demonstrated 24 months experience operating this particular machine within a mining environment
• Commitment to working within and maintaining a strong culture of safety

  • Current RIIs for Operate Light Vehicle and Operate & Maintain 4WD (or be willing to obtain)

• Current: Standard 11 Induction Training Induction, Coal Board Medical and Drivers Licence
• References to support your application (Minimum of 2 relevant recent referees required)

Caterpillar Haul truck 793

Caterpillar Haul truck 777

The Caterpillar 777 is a 100-ton haul truck, typically used in open pit mining, manufactured by Caterpillar Inc. The first model of Caterpillar 777 was introduced in 1974. Its diesel engine is capable of putting out 870 horsepower. The 777D, introduced in 1996, was powered by a 938-horsepower diesel.

This truck is one of the entry-level haul trucks most new operators will learn on. Once competent, they will move up to the larger 785, especially when working on a coal mining site.

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)

Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.

RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
