Mining jobs Australia August – iMINCO

This week’s mining jobs selection comes direct from one of Australia’s mining jobs boards.Mining jobs are updated daily and sent to iMINCO where we scan through and select the best jobs in mining.

In this August batch of jobs, there are positions available right across Australia, offering job opportunities for mine-experienced and non-experienced applicants. As usual, iMINCO recommend before applying for any of these jobs, to go back to the basics and think about what you’re doing before you apply.

The main consideration is ‘your resume’. DON’T apply for any jobs unless you’ve made sure you have shuffled round the content in your resume to put the relevant qualifications and experience at the top of your resume. It’s not a good idea to send in job applications without having researched the company and the job role. It’s easy just to send off resumes like shooting a shotgun – in the hope you’ll hit something. We have to tell you, this is a complete waste of time because recruiters have systems in place to reject these sorts of tactics. More often than not, job applications that don’t match the base criteria for the job are rejected – and you’ll probably not even get a reply.

The trick is to target your application cover letter and resume at the job. Yes – it takes a little bit of time to re-write your resume and think of a good cover letter – although, if you really want the job, it’s a small price to pay.
At iMINCO, we’ve created a few books on how to increase your job application chances and get into the interview room. If you’re really focussed on getting a mining job, then you’ll find the tips and extra info in the iMINCO eBooks well worth a read.

Good luck with the application process – and remember, it all starts with your resume!
