POSITION SUMMARY:

Currently we have multiple opportunities available for experienced HD Fitters to work 12.5 hour shifts on a 2 days 2 nights 4 off – 3 days 2 nights 5 off on a Central Queensland coal mine. Accommodation, food and transport to site will be provided.

For the individuals who meet the criteria of the role, permanent positions will be offered by our client after completion of successful probationary periods.

You will have previous experience working on a coal mine and a proven commitment to working in a safe and timely manner.

Successful candidates will have a proven background of maintenance, repair and servicing of the following machines:

  • Rear Dump Trucks – 777
  • Excavators – PC1250/Liebherr 984C
  • D10T Dozers
  • 16H/M Graders
  • 773 Rigid Water Carts

In order to be considered for these roles, you MUST meet the following requirements:

  • 2 recent Referee contact details
  • The ability to pass Drug & Alcohol Screen
  • Your own PPE (Orange hi viz shirts, long cotton drill pants, steel cap boots)
  • Licence and own reliable vehicle

      Caterpillar Haul truck 777

      The Caterpillar 777 is a 100-ton haul truck, typically used in open pit mining, manufactured by Caterpillar Inc. The first model of Caterpillar 777 was introduced in 1974. Its diesel engine is capable of putting out 870 horsepower. The 777D, introduced in 1996, was powered by a 938-horsepower diesel.

      This truck is one of the entry-level haul trucks most new operators will learn on. Once competent, they will move up to the larger 785, especially when working on a coal mining site.
