Required Qualifications:

  • Australian Recognized Trade Certificate (HD Fitter) – ESSENTIAL
  • Ability to pass a Pre-employment Medical, Drug & Alcohol Screen if Required – ESSENTIAL
  • Confined Spaces & Working at heights – NON-ESSENTIAL
  • Dogging and Rigging – NON-ESSENTIAL
  • Forklift license – NON-ESSENTIAL

Requires Skills / Experience:

Equipment (Including examples such as)

  • Experience in maintaining and repairing heavy earth moving equipment
  • Experience in fault finding
  • Auto-electrical & hydraulic experience
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to take direction from supervisor
  • High level of safety orientation
  • High Level of computer literacy
  • Current HR Driver’s License
  • White/Blue Card.

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)

Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.

RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
