Work with a national company that specializes in the provision of earthmoving services predominantly to the mining industry with some work undertaken for the construction and rural sectors. Based in Central Queensland, with an extensive range of services throughout the Bowen Basin, with growth extending throughout the region.
About the role
Looking for an experienced operators for the following roles:
- Dozer Operators: CAT D9, D10 & D11
- Grader Operators: CAT 16 & 24
- Scraper Operators: CAT 631
- Excavator Operators: HITACHI EX3600
- Rear Dump Operators: CAT 785 & 793
Mining Civil Mobile Plant Operators Rockhampton QLD
The various opportunities offer a 7/7 or 5/2 roster with day shift only options available. The roles are offered over various sites within central Bowen Basin. You will carry out earthworks, construction of access roads and pavements, drainage and in-ground water and electrical services, structural concrete construction, foundations for the conveyor and tie-in infrastructure, and a run-of-mine (ROM) pad.
Key of Duties
For this position, we require extremely competent individuals that have good knowledge and experience of the civil mining industry. You will be responsible for but not limited to haulage, site works and roads, dust suppression, ground leveling, excavations and drainage and culverts.
Skills and experience
- Proven experience operating excavators, trucks, graders, rollers, scrapers and water carts
- Valid drivers license
- Current Coal Board Medical
- Current BMA Induction – or be willing to obtain

Caterpillar Haul truck 785
The Caterpillar 785 Haul Truck, Dump Truck or off-road truck as they are called in the U.S. are still used across the world in open-cut mining operations. This huge truck has proven it’s worth for many years and has often been the entry-level truck for new operators.

Caterpillar Haul truck 793
The 793F has a load cpacityof 226.8 ton (US) and a top speed of 60 kilometres an hour. It's a turbocharged air-to-air aftercooled diesel engine that has enhanced power management capability for maximum hauling performance. The C175-16 is a 16-cylinder, four-stroke design that uses long, effective power strokes for optimum efficiency.
The 793F, is an autonomous-driven truck. Over 100 793F trucks are now operating via Command for hauling, the Cat autonomous truck operations system, which is a part of Cat MineStar™
