Mine Worker Advanced (Excavator)
Experienced Excavator Operators for an Open Cut Coal Mine sites in the Bowen Basin near Nebo. The �client is a Tier 1 Mining house who requires skilled, experienced and safety minded individual�s for ongoing opportunities.
One Key Resources is a specialist provider of managed workforce services and labour hire to the mining, oil & gas and infrastructure industries.
As an experienced operator you will have the following experience:
- Documented prior experience working on Liebherr 996 or similar
- Rii Competency in CAT 785 or above
- Strict adherence to all safety requirements
The successful applicant will also have:
- Current BMA Induction (or willingness to undertake)
- Current Coal Board Medical (or willingness to undertake)
- Rii Competencies/SSE Signed Competencies

- Buses are supplied from Mackay.

The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.
The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.
The Bowen Basin covers a total area of over 60,000 square kilometres and is located in Central Queensland; running from Collinsville to Theodore. The entire region is home to many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.

Caterpillar Haul truck 785
The Caterpillar 785 Haul Truck, Dump Truck or off-road truck as they are called in the U.S. are still used across the world in open-cut mining operations. This huge truck has proven it’s worth for many years and has often been the entry-level truck for new operators.
Progressing when competent, operators move up to the larger CAT 793 and CAT 797 truck, giving them the confidence and ability to handle larger load capacities on a range of challenging mine sites.

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)
Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.
RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
