Mechanical Fitter Fixed plant Mining Perth WA

Your new role 

  • Carry out major mechanical overhauls, refurbishments & repairs to equipment
  • Undertake strip, assess & rebuild fixed plant equipment including, but not limited to, crushers, crusher components, screens and screen parts, gearboxes, conveyor pulleys and drives, hydraulic units, slurry pumps, rail car and dumper components.
  • Interpret detailed drawings relating to complex equipment; recording & measuring components utilizing precision measuring tools.
  • Carry out precision fitting within fine precision tolerances relating to bearings, bushes and sleeves and other parts.

Skills and experience

  • A mechanical fitting trade qualification coupled with a minimum of 5 years related workshop experience
  • Advanced mechanical skills and experience operating within a workshop environment, repairs and full refurbishment workshop.
  • Able to take and record accurate measurements using precision measuring instruments.
  • Quality presentation of completed jobs demonstrating attention to detail at all times.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Riggers, EWP & Forklift tickets with relevant experience.
  • Current WA drivers license.
