Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator – Capcoal Underground Operations

Reporting to the Outbye Superintendent you will be responsible for the coordination of all Outbye Mechanical maintenance activities and resources to maintain mechanically safe and productive equipment in accordance with the annual mining plan.  You will also be the focal point on shift for the implementation and leadership of continuous improvement projects in your area and to ensure compliance with safety systems and mechanical maintenance processes.

As the leader of the Outbye Mechanical team, you will build, lead and develop your teams to deliver the annual mine plan, generally achieving high output from the team with high morale. Working alongside the electrical and operations coordinators, you will develop short and medium-term work to achieve resource targets, continually reviewing and adjusting the pathways to deliver operational excellence.

To succeed in the role, you will hold a Mechanical trade qualification or higher with a minimum of 5 years’ maintenance experience at an underground coal mine. Experience within the Outbye environment will be highly regarded, as will experience working with conveyors in a similar role. You will hold current Supervisor qualifications (S1, S2, S3 & G2) and will have demonstrated abilities leading a team and driving performance. Your well-developed understanding of maintenance requirements along with your demonstrated ability to problem solve and motivate a team to perform will be crucial to your success in the role.
