Gindalbie Metal`s Karara Iron Ore Project near Geraldton in West Australia and Sinosteel Midwest flagship Weld Range Project, 65km south-west of Meekathara have reserves of 30 years and 15 years respectively.
Karara brings rail, power and water infrastructure, enhancing opportunity to develop other projects.
Construction commenced November 2009 with the concentrator site cleared and earthworks underway and the Karara Village construction started.
Iron products will initially be exported through Geraldton Port, with Karara also able to commit foundation tonnages to underpin� the development of the new multi-billion dollar Oakajee Port.
The Weld Range project is at a well-advanced stage and should be ready for production by 2013.
The project has significant potential due to high-grade outcrops over a total 16km strike length.
