Heavy Mobile Haul Truck Operator
Client is seeking experienced Haul truck operators who’s values align with theirs. The client relish challenge, are resilient, know that lasting success is hard won and nurtured with solid, responsible, hard work.
They take the long-term view and have the privilege and responsibility of growing their business along sustainable lines. The client is specializing in the prestripping operation onsite which involves annual excavation of 33M bcm’s of overburden ahead of the client’s coal mining operations.
Duties:
- Operating a variety of haul trucks on an open cut mine site.
- Maintain high standard of housekeeping on equipment.
- Communicate in a positive manner with other operators and assist in traffic management
- Experience on the following equipment is desired;

Requirements:
You must display a stable work history with a minimum of 12 months coal mining experience in a production operation capacity. You must have a safety first attitude and a positive cando work ethic.

- Supporting RIIs or Site Authorizations (SSC)
- Successful applicants must be willing to obtain;
- Standard 11 Induction Training
- BMA Core/Bridging & Saraji Site induction
- Current Coal Board medical

Caterpillar Haul truck 789
The Caterpillar 789 dump truck is typically used in open pit mining. The 789 has a capacity of 177 tonnes, and its engine can produce 1770 horsepower.
There are hundreds of CAT 789 dump trucks on various mine sites in Australia; working hard in open-cut coal mines as well as hauling raw iron ore dirt across the open, dusty mine sites of Western Australia.

Komatsu 830E Haul Truck
The Komatsu 830E is an ultra class dump truck used in Australian open pit mining operations an is designed and built in Peoria, Illinois by Komatsu America Corporation (parent company is the Japanese held company Komatsu Ltd.
The Komatsu 830E is a beast, with 231,000 kilogram capacity (255 short tons). Although this is a big truck, the 830E's load capacity is about 66% the capacity of the Liebherr T 282C and Caterpillar 797B.
This is an electric truck and is being featured in many new mining operations as well established mines in WA and QLD.The electric drive system is very different fromt the transmission/differential drive of traditional trucks. The diesel engine is connected to a GE traction alternator with high voltage cables transfering electricity to the two wheel motors at the rear of the truck.

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)
Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.
RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
