About the Role

Reporting to the production superintendent, you will operate mobile plant equipment, consisting of min CAT 793 and Komatsu 730 Haul Trucks.

As a key member of a high performing team, you will play an integral role in implementing the client’s production requirements.

This is a drive in drive out (DIDO) role for an open cut coal mine in the Banana Shire situated 2 hours South West from Rockhampton and 7 hours North West from Brisbane.

  • 12.75 Hour Shifts

Skills/Experience

  • Minimum 6 months experience operating Mechanical Dump Truck min CAT 793 or Electric Dump Truck: Komatsu 730
  • MUST Have SSE/Delegate Signed Skills List or Unsigned Supported by RII
  • Experience operating under the P&H Electric Rope Shovel on the CAT Trucks is desired
  • Current Drivers License
  • Current Coal Board Medical or willing to Obtain
  • Current Current Standard 11 Induction Training or willing to obtain
  • A medical including drug and alcohol testing is required as part of the recruitment process.

      Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.

      RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
