Heavy Duty Mobile Plant Fitter – Surface & Underground Mining

This role is best suitable for candidates with a sound knowledge of mobile plant/diesel mechanic/hydraulic/electrical background ideally from an underground mining area. You must be willing to relocate residential and/or FIFO 7/7 to Far East-Northeast Regional Western Australia.
Reporting directly to the Service Maintenance Manager, the opportunity will see the successful applicant: Maintaining and repairing on fleets of surface drill rigs (Top-hammer & Down-the-hole) & underground mining service mine trucks, loaders and Sandvik/Tamrock Solos/Axera Jumbos/Atlas Copco underground drill rigs and ancillary equipment.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Preventive maintenance, minor/major breakdowns services and troubleshooting.
- Inspecting, Identifying and diagnosing mechanical malfunctions
- Effective underground mine site services

You will need to demonstrate a proven track record in Diesel/hydraulic systems/electronic heavy duty mobile plant service maintenance background ideally from a surface & underground mining/drilling area and/or from a related field. You are a trade certified heavy duty vehicle automotive/mechanical/diesel/industrial hydraulic/pneumatic /electrical fitter.
You must have excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, fault finding and troubleshooting skills. Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures. Your hydraulic/pneumatic and electrical schematic and interpreting skill is of the highest level with the ability to service and build long term relationships with customers.

Resources and Infrastructure Industry (RII)
Commonly refered to as Black Coal Competency (BCC), the RII competency is one that can be attained by an operator who has previously worked in the industry and has completed a number of operating hours on various types of machinery.
RII competency is granted to prove correct and safe operation of mine site machinery. It is a very useful qualification to have, as it confirms the operator has the required experience and expertise.
