The client provides leading mechanical, fabrication and electrical service provider to the Central Queensland region, providing services to the mineral resources and processing industries.

They offer a full range of engineering services to customers and have comprehensively equipped workshop facilities.

With the up-turn in mining exploration in the region this client has a need for a Diesel Fitter, to work at Blackwater Mine on a 5:4 4:5 rotating roster. You will be working on large earth-moving machinery – diggers, drills, dump trucks and drag-lines etc.

You will be required to have:

Experience in a similar role
Diesel Fitter Trade Qualifications
Coal Board Medical (MUST HAVE)
Standard 11 Induction Training (MUST HAVE)
Knowledge & experience on various mobile diesel mining machinery
Safety conscious & aware
Able to work unsupervised & as part of a team

In return on offer is:

Pay rate $42.50 per hour (FLAT) for first 8 hours then $55 per hour (FLAT) for remaining hours. Saturday and Sunday all hours $55 per hour flat.
5:4 4:5 roster rotating from days to nights
Daily Site Allowance $48
Night Site Allowance $48
Travel paid – $34/hour
Flights provided from Brisbane to Rockhampton
Site vehicle supplied from Rockhampton
Accommodation/meals supplied
Opportunity for permanent after three month tenure – performance based
ASAP start
