Heavy Diesel Fitters Trades Maintenance Supervisor WA
Thiess is the world’s largest mining services provider. They offer the widest range of in-house surface and underground mining capabilities across Australia and globally.
Thiess are taking expressions of interest for HD Fitters. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results. The jobs for experienced trades persons will see new employees joining their workshop, field and Ancillary teams a the mine in WA.
Location: Solomon Project, Pilbara, Western Australia
About the Role
Thiess is offering a unique opportunity for experienced HD Fitters to join there team at the exciting and innovative Solomon Project (Fortescue Metals) located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
They are responsible for the maintenance of the largest autonomous (self-driven) CAT Dump Truck Haulage Fleet in the World and are transitioning Drill Fleet to autonomy as well.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a first class start of the art technologically advanced team within Mobile Maintenance.
The successful applicant will join a passionate and energetic team where they will be responsible for providing technical knowledge, support and assistance to Thiess’ maintenance operations. The role will also provide an opportunity to expand your maintenance technical skills and become a leader in mechanical innovation.
- Cert III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent
- HR Drivers License preferable
- Post-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry
- Experience in General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Component Change Outs and Servicing of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment
- Experience with the maintenance, service and repair of CAT 793 haul trucks a must
