About the role

As their next Haul Truck Operator reporting to the Mining Supervisor you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.

This role is a permanent position that will see you working 12.5 hour day shifts and 10.5 hour night shifts on a 7/7 Roster (Wednesday – Tuesday); full camp facilities are available and bus transportation is provided from Mackay or Rockhampton to the Dysart Camp.

In this role, your responsibilities will include operation of heavy mobile plant equipment and complying with site policies and procedures to ensure effective use of equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

About you

Successful candidates should ideally have proven skills and experience working as a production operator on either Liebherr T282 Electric Dump Trucks or CAT 789 and 793 Mechanical Dump Trucks in an operational coal mine. Additional skills and experience on Dozer, Grader or Loader operations will make your resume highly desirable.

Role Requirements as a Haul Truck Operator at Lake Vermont:

  • A commitment to a positive safety culture;
  • Current Driver’s License.
  • Relevant coal mining certifications (e.g. Standard 11 Induction Training);
  • A current Section 4 / Coal Board Medical would be desirable; and
