Experienced Geology Technician / Pit Technician
Geology Underground Pit Technician Mt Morgans Gold Project
The Company Dacian Gold Ltd (ASX:DCN) is finalizing constructing of its 100% owned Mt Morgans Gold Project located near Laverton in the WA goldfields.
Mt Morgans will be Australia’s newest +200,000 oz gold mine, and in Q1 CY2018 will produce its first gold from a newly constructed 2.5Mtpa CIL treatment plant.
The maiden Ore Reserve of 1.2 million ounces, supporting an initial mine life of 8 years, will produce underground ore from Westralia and open pit ore from Jupiter.

About the Role
They are seeking to employ an experienced Geology Technician / Pit Technician to join the geology team at the Mt Morgans Gold Project during this exciting phase of the project.
Recent geology graduates who have previous experience gained through vacation placements or employment will be considered for this role.
Duties for this role will include:
- Monitoring ore excavation to maximize recovery and minimize dilution
- Providing accurate records of ore mining activities
- Conducting ore mark-ups and prepare zones for mining
- Co-coordinating grade control activities
- Grade control drilling supervision
- Grade control sampling
- Assisting the mine geologists and production team with general duties as required
Geology Underground Pit Technician Mt Morgans Gold Project
To be considered for this role, candidates will provide an employment history which is aligned with the duties (above) and the following general skills / qualifications;
- Driver’s license (C Class, manual car) – essential
- Microsoft Office skills
- 2+ years employment history as a Geology Technician / Pit Technician (or geology graduate experience as stipulated)
- First Aid Certificate (current)
This is a FIFO role working on a 2:1 roster cycle from Perth (or DIDO 2:1 from regional centers to Laverton). Candidates must be eligible to work in Australia without sponsorship or visa restrictions.
