Mining Fitter Maintenance – Fixed Plant QLD

An exciting new opportunity exists for a Fitter within the Concentration Maintenance team at Zinc Processing, working residential in accordance with a Monday to Friday roster configuration.

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, your primary responsibility of this role is to safely perform planned and breakdown maintenance to ensure plant availability and reliability is maintained. You must be able to methodically work through daily tasks on assets such as, but not limited to, Milling & Floatation circuits, pumps, conveyors and hydraulic systems.

The successful candidate shall have the ability to be able to fault find problems on a range of mining equipment. You must be suitability trade qualified and have previous experience, preferably 2-5 years working in a mining processing plant and/or similar heavy industry.

The successful applicant will be safety orientated, enthusiastic, work well in a multidisciplinary team and have strong attention to detail. Having previous experience using Ellipse and/or similar program will be beneficial.

There mining operation is on land traditionally owned by the Kalkadoon People and they respect their rights and interests. Mount Isa Mines encourages suitably qualified indigenous applicants to apply.
