Field Boilermaker – QLD Mine Maintenance

The successful applicant must possess:

  • Qld Open Drivers License
  • Standard 11 Induction Training and relevant Trade Certificates
  • Coal Board Medical
  • Experience in welding and fabrication for heavy earth moving machinery
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Honest and reliable
  • Strong work ethic

Preference will be given to those that have:

  • Curragh Induction
  • BMA Induction
  • Working at heights
  • Confined space
  • Any mine site competencies

Successful applicant will work a rotating roster, remuneration will be based on agreed roster.

Successful applicant will have the highest regard for workplace health and safety. Candidates are expected to be able to work safely with minimal supervision and MUST  demonstrate quality workmanship which meets or exceeds business requirements.

About the Bowen Basin mining region, Queensland.

The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.

The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.

The Bowen Basin covers a total area of over 60,000 square kilometres and is located in Central Queensland; running from Collinsville to Theodore. The entire region is home to many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.
