About our Client
Our client is Australia’s largest coal miner and exporter, the world’s largest supplier to the sea borne coking coal market andlargest coal producer and supplier of metallurgical coal. The client has several mine sites across the Bowen Basin consisting primarily of open cut mines.
About the Role
WorkPac is currently seeking experienced operators with the ability to operate heavy machinery within the pre-strip department.
Skills & Experience
To be a suitable applicant for this position you will require:
Coal Board Medical
Standard 11 *Standard 11 Training*
Experience operating on or more of the following:
Cat 793 Dump Truck
Previous experience on an open cut coal mine
What you’ll get in return

The Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.
The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen. The Bowen Basin covers an area of over 60,000 square kilometres in Central Queensland running from Collinsville to Theodore and is dotted with many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.
