The Lake Vermont Coal Project is situated in Dysart, North Queensland.
About the role
This is a great opportunity to secure full time employment with a Tier One mining company.If you are driven, passionate and have a drive for safety, you are exactly what we are searching for.
In this role, your responsibilities will include operation of heavy mobile plant equipment and complying with site policies and procedures to ensure effective use of equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
This role is a permanent position that will see you working 12.5 hour day shifts and 10.5 hour night shifts on a 7/7 Roster (Wednesday – Tuesday); full camp facilities are available and bus transportation is provided from Mackay or Rockhampton to the Dysart Camp. There is also regular opportunities to work overtime shifts.
Successful candidates should ideally have demonstrated and credible experience operating Liebherr 9800 or 996 Excavators. Additional skills and experience will make your resume very desirable.
Role Requirements as an Excavator Operator at Lake Vermont:
- A commitment to a positive safety culture;
- Current Driver’s License.
- Relevant coal mining certifications (e.g. Standard 11 Induction Training);
- A current Section 4 / Coal Board Medical would be desirable; and
