Heavy Excavator Operators Mining Jobs
Nobul is on the lookout for Excavator Operators for BIBO work from Rockhampton. This role will see you working closely with an Australian renowned mining company who has multiple sites across the Bowen Basin.
The client is seeking experienced 984 & 996 excavator operators for work in the Southern end of the Bowen Basin. This is an ongoing role with immediate starts available.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate mobile plant equipment
- Pre-start checks
- Maintain equipment
- Operate equipment safely
- Follow company policies and procedures
Skills/Experience
- Experience operating 984 & 996 excavators
- Current Drivers License
- Current Coal Board Medical & Standard 11 Induction Training
- Your key focus is safety with a high attention to detail to abide by site procedures.

The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.
The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.
The Bowen Basin covers a total area of over 60,000 square kilometres and is located in Central Queensland; running from Collinsville to Theodore. The entire region is home to many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.
