Electrician Mine Jobs Bowen Basin
4/3 Roster, Ongoing Role, Highly Reputable Company
Hays are searching for Electricians for work out in the Bowen Basin region.
Your new role:
You will be working on various sites throughout the Bowen Basin. Their client has ongoing contracts on a 4/3 roster with both Anglo & Glencore depending on where you are inducted. If you are a highly skilled Electrician this is an opportunity not to be missed!
What you’ll need to succeed:
To be successful for these roles you will hold the following skills/qualifications:
- QLD Electrical Licence
- Standard 11 Induction Training Induction – Essential
- Glencore or Anglo Induction
- LVR/CPR
- Drivers licence
- Transport to get to site
- Basic tradesman hand tools
- Previous Mining experience on Surface Infrastructure.
What you’ll get in return:

About the Bowen Basin mining region, Queensland.
The Queensland Bowen Basin contains the largest coal reserves in Australia. This major coal producing region contains one of the world’s largest deposits of bituminous coal.
The Basin contains much of the known Permian coal resources in Queensland including virtually all of the known mineable prime coking coal. It was named for the Bowen River, itself named after Queensland’s first Governor, Sir George Bowen.
The Bowen Basin covers a total area of over 60,000 square kilometres and is located in Central Queensland; running from Collinsville to Theodore. The entire region is home to many coal mines operated by multiple mining companies.
